Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta

The title says it all… BACON. CHEESEBURGER. PASTA. It really does. Today, I’m going to share a dish that his on all of those flavor notes and you are gonna LOVE it. Best I can describe this dish is homemade hamburger helper. 🙂

Let’s get started…

Brown some ground meat, about a pound and a half.

Cook a half pound of pasta. You can use shells or elbow Mac. I used cavatapi as it is my favorite pasta shape. Now cook that till al dente. Once done throw the ground meat and pasta in a pot.

Cook up a half pound of bacon, chop, and add to the pot.

Next, in a bowl add a 15 ounce can of beef broth, 3 Tbs of ketchup, 1 tsp Worcestershire, and 4 Tbs  of flour. Whisk and add to the pot.

Cook until bubbly. This will start to thicken the sauce. Once bubbly, cook for 2 or 3 more minutes.

Next, add 2 cups of sharp cheddar.

Cook over a medium heat until the cheese is melted.

Plate up and enjoy. 

If you have kiddos, they will love this. Cheese, bacon, pasta, and meat. A no brainer for them.
