Layered Salad

I love watching cooking shows. One of my favorites is The Pioneer Woman. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her show. Occasionally, when I watch her show, it will inspire me to cook whatever I’ve seen. Today, I’m going to share a layered salad that I saw her make and it is delicious. πŸ™‚

Before we get started putting this salad together, cook a half a pound of bacon and hard boil 6 eggs.

Now, let’s get started…

Chop up about a half a head of iceberg lettuce

Next, chop and layer 2 – 3 tomatoes

Now, add on abouta half a bag of baby spinach

Chop up your 6 hard boiled eggs and add to your salad then salt and pepper.

Chop up your bacon and layer.

Next, we are going to add about a cup of cheddar cheese. I used mild but you can use sharp or Pepper Jack.

Peas are next. This is one bag of frozen, steamable peas run under cool water. I believe it’s a 10 ounce bag.

That’s it for the veggie side. Now for the dressing…

Take a half cup each of mayo & sour cream and 1 Tbs of sugar

Wisk until smooth…

Pour on top of the peas.

Look at that beauty…

My wife says this is her new favorite salad. πŸ™‚

Give it a try. You will LOVE it!

To your abundance!
