Roast and Potates

Old styled, stick to your ribs home cooking. I LOVE ME SOME OF THAT!!! I’ve been cooking for about 10 people down here in Texas. This was a no brainer and super simple.


3 – 5 lb chuck roast (I used 5)

Garlic pepper seasoning

1/2 cup beef broth

Get your trusty crock pot out and put a 1/2 cup of beef broth in it. Season your roast with your favorite garlic pepper seasoning. I use Tastefully Simple’s because I love the flavor. And get that going for 8 – 10 hours on low. Because you’ve used chuck roast, there would have been plenty of marbling in the meat. So, you will have a melt in your mouth roast. Shred it and serve it!

As for the potatoes…


5 lbs potatoes

1/4 cup Olive oil

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp salt

2 tsp tastefully simple’s Italian garlic seasoning

Dice your potatoes. Your call on leaving the skin on. If you do, make sure you wash them well. Drizzle with the oil and seasonings. Put in a greased baking dish and bake in a 450 oven for 50 minutes, tossing every 15 minutes. Here’s what you get…
