Rustic Smashed Potatoes

I know… I know… I’ve been a little laxed due to vaca but today I’m going to share with you one of our favorite side dishes: Rustic Smashed Potatoes. Yum!


5 lb bag of red potatoes

Avocado oil to coat

Rustic Herb seasoning

Pre heat your oven to 450

Clean your potatoes.

Now, before I start I’m going to give my wife credit for this one. SHE DID THE COOKING!  And it tasted GREAT!

Par boil your potatoes.

You will want to boil them for about 15 minutes then drain.

Oil a baking sheet. You can use whatever you want but we use Tastefully Simple’s Avocado oil because it brings such great flavor.

Put the potatoes on the baking sheet.

Get your potato masher out and smash them down to about an inch thickness. (No pic)

Do the whole pan.

Now, you will want to drizzle oil on the top. This will allow the top to get nice and crusty. Again, we used tastefully simple’s Avocado oil.

Let’s add tastefully simple’s rustic herb. I LOVE this spice because of the rosemary and thyme. They work so well together in this dish. Yum!

Pop this into your preheated oven for 25 minutes.

A crusty, rustic potato dish is what you will get.
